Oh, w/r/t Alex - if Alex continues this downward defensive spiral, he's going to be a first baseman before you know it.

Yeah, I'm still playing with the look and templates, but I soooooo love Wordpress templating. I know some of that's familiarity with tweaking.

Derek,

I was perusing the Sports channels last Friday, and I came across the show 1st and 10, which if you are not familiar is a show with Skip Bayless and another analyst type discussing the 10 hottest sports topics of the day. Inevitably A-rod came up with his opt-out clause. Skip Bayless said he should go back to Seattle where he can be left alone and just play where he had his most productive years. I put absolutely no stock in that, however if it was to be, where would he play? The left side of the infield is set. Even if you traded Beltre for a pitcher, moved Jose to third and Yuni to second, does Alex still have the range for a shortstop? Just idle curiosity. Love the blog, and I have the book on order!
